How to get accredited

North Carolina Open University works with education providers all over the world. Accredited Centre status is granted to those institutions which can satisfy the North Carolina Open University Accreditation Committee that they have the following:

• A suitably qualified Registrar.
• Qualified lecturers.
• Library facilities.
• Suitable premises and classrooms.

• Secure storage for examination materials.
• Computer resources with internet access; available for student use.
• A sound administrative structure, including e-mail facilities on-campus which is monitored daily.

If the above criteria are applicable to your centre, please complete the Accredited Centre Application Form and return it to North Carolina Open University, along with the Application Fee detailed on the form, and your centre prospectus.

However, per the regulations and laws governing private high professional education and training, we do not issue or confer any certificates or academic degrees identical to those granted by state or governmental universities.

Our graduation certificates may be accepted and recognized by private educational institutions and by state universities around the world, subject to their individual policies and requirements. Depending on the credit hours required by each individual university.
